Unscrewable and reusable buttons

Our unscrewable buttons guarantee longevity and recyclability. Replaceable when necessary
and easily removed at the end of life.

2

Plastic free fabric and coating

In line with our circular philosophy and against microplastics our fabric and yarn coating is 100% natural and does not include any petroleum based (plastic) fibers.

3

Embroidered instead of metal rivets

In most denim recycling chains, jeans containing metal rivets have up to 30% material loss when being recycled. With embroidered rivets we ensure 100% recyclability.

4

Cellulose based back patch of Jacron paper

Our back patches are made from FSC® and OEKO-TEX®certified Jacron, instead of synthetic or animal leather.

5

No unnecessary labels on the inside

We avoid using polyester labels by printing all necessary information on the inside pockets with Cradle to Cradle Certified™ ink.

Our design

Circularity, recyclability and design are infinitely linked. By avoiding design mistakes, we have made our HNST jeans 100% recyclable. Discover why and how.

Our design

Recycled denim

Cotton is a thirsty and pesticides-intensive crop. HNST jeans contain 56% recycled cotton and, only, 23% Greek cotton, better for our planet and people.

Our production process

The product with the lowest impact is the one that already exists. That’s why the raw materials of our jeans are worn out denims. Get to know the details of our circular supply chain.

Our production process

Made in Europe

The complete HNST production is located in Europe. Hereby we guarantee the best working and quality conditions, while minimising the environmental impact of transport and maximising the transparency of our value chain.

Made in Europe

Our HNST impact

A conventional pair of jeans requires, on average, 3 kg of raw cotton and 7000 liters of water. HNST jeans uses only 361 liters of water, saving 95%. Read up on how we made this happen.
